About the Role
We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in computer science and proven experience in software development. In this role, you will collaborate with top experts in the Canadian healthcare sector to develop an innovative healthcare data solution, utilizing the latest technological advancements. This position offers a unique opportunity to learn from experienced mentors, while allowing for independence in your day-to-day work within an Agile development framework.
Key Technical Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum of 1 year of industry experience
- Experience with Python frameworks (FastAPI, Flask)
- A strong understanding of fundamental software principles such as time complexity, security best practices, API design, TDD
Key Soft Skills
- A proactive work ethic and strong sense of ownership and responsibility
- Extremely motivated to work on a greenfield project with the ability to learn new skills quickly
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Nice-to-Have
- Familiarity with modern Machine Learning algorithms
- Full Stack/Javascript front-end past deliverables
- Experience parsing unstructured data from HTML, JSON, CSV, and others
- Intuitive understanding of efficient database usage, both SQL and NoSQL
- Working knowledge of AWS or Azure service offerings
- Understanding of the Canadian healthcare or pharmaceutical market access environment
- Experience working in a small company
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders including programmers and non-programmers
Location:
MORSE is based in Toronto/Ottawa but since the successful candidate will primarily work remotely from home (with frequent team interaction via telecommunication tools, and occasional in-person meetings), we are flexible with the candidate being located anywhere in Canada.
