Title: Senior Consultant, Health Technology Assessment (HTA)

Location: Anywhere in Canada

Position: Full-time, Permanent

Deadline: Before 11:59 pm Friday, March 31st, 2023.

Summary:

MORSE is a leading Canadian pharmaceutical market access consultancy which aims to help clients understand the Canadian pharmaceutical reimbursement environment and develop strategies to optimize commercial success.  In other words, we advise clients (e.g. pharmaceutical companies) when they face challenges or uncertainty in making their products available in Canada.  At MORSE, we value our reputation for honesty, integrity, collaboration and our team’s commitment to excellence.

We seek a Senior Consultant to provide clients with strategic Health Technology Assessment (HTA) advice, helping them achieve optimal reimbursement for their drug products.  The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to identify opportunities and risks related to HTA files and provide practical strategies and solutions based on an assessment of available evidence, historical precedents, and an understanding of HTA processes.

Experience and Skills:

The candidate should have an undergraduate degree in a health-related field, at least four years of experience in HTA, and knowledge of market access, economic evaluation, literature review, and evidence appraisal.  The Senior Consultant should also have leadership, communication, problem-solving, relationship-building, and teamwork skills.  Additionally, the candidate should be able to work independently and adapt to changing circumstances.  Finally, the candidate should be aware of emerging trends and innovations in healthcare technology and their impact on HTA.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will provide HTA services to clients who need to evaluate their health technologies.  The role will use HTA expertise to advise clients on optimizing outcomes, reviewing and appraising clinical evidence, and positioning products for reimbursement.  The Senior Consultant will develop and execute projects, lead or join project teams, and provide expert advice on HTA-related matters.  In addition, this team member will participate in business development activities, prepare new service offerings, foster relationships with potential clients and partners, and identify new growth opportunities.

Leadership:

The Senior Consultant will also manage and mentor junior staff members, oversee their work, and provide feedback.  The successful candidate will help create and sustain a positive, collaborative team culture.  The individual in this role will also participate in developing company policies and procedures related to HTA and related services, and act as a thought leader and expert in the field of HTA, contributing to the development of best practices and standards.

Location:

MORSE is based in Toronto/Ottawa, but since the successful candidate will primarily work remotely from home (with frequent team interaction via telecommunication tools and occasional in-person meetings), we are flexible with the candidate being located anywhere in Canada.

How to Apply:

Interested candidates should submit a cover letter and resumé to careers@morseconsulting.ca before 11:59 pm on Friday, March 31st, 2023.  The candidate’s application should indicate how their knowledge, experience, skills, and related qualifications would be suitable for this position at MORSE Consulting Inc.

We thank all candidates for applying; however, only selected candidates will be contacted for an interview.
